Meta has introduced a new app named Pocket, aiming to enhance user engagement in the gaming sector. The app allows users to create small interactive applications and games using AI-driven prompts. This launch follows Meta’s acquisition of the team behind the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year. Pocket is described as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” referring to the interactive experiences users can create. Additionally, it features a scrollable feed where users can interact with gizmos created by others.
Screenshots from the Pocket app on Google Play reveal several similarities with Gizmo’s original application, which remains listed. Like Pocket, Gizmo allows users to utilize written AI prompts to develop small, interactive experiences and includes a discovery feed for users to explore.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer known for spotting new apps and features, was the first to report the launch earlier today, sharing a screenshot of the app on X. According to data from app intelligence provider Appfigures, Pocket was initially launched on June 29, 2026, on both the App Store and Google Play, though the firm has yet to determine if it has garnered any downloads due to its recent release.

Multiple news outlets, including Business Insider and Investing.com, have also covered Paluzzi’s discovery, while Meta has not responded to requests for comments.
The introduction of Pocket exemplifies Meta’s ongoing initiative to popularize AI creation tools. This effort builds upon previous initiatives, including AI-generated images from the Meta AI app and AI video capabilities offered by its application, Vibes. Moreover, Meta has been integrating AI functionalities across its social media platforms and within its video editing app for creators, Edits.
Although Meta has not formally announced the launch of Pocket, it appears to be in the early stages of experimentation. Notably, Appfigures reports that the app is currently available solely in Brazil.
In contrast, Gizmo has achieved a total of 635,000 installs across both iOS and Google Play, boasting a 98% positive sentiment according to Appfigures.
