Zeenix, Tectoy’s domestic handheld, has already sparked a lot of discussion in the Brazilian gaming market since its announcement, but there’s no substitute for getting your hands on the product. And that’s exactly what we did: Olhar Digital had the opportunity to visit the TecToy offices, in São Paulo, to see the line’s consoles up close and test the Zeenix Pro in practice, in addition to satisfying the nostalgia of the old products on display there.

The visit: nostalgia, engineering and a SAC that cannot be subcontracted
In addition to revisiting classics that have marked generations, we had the opportunity to chat with Eddy Antonini, product manager of the Zeenix range at TecToywhich explains in detail the differences between the Lite and Pro models and the reasoning behind each configuration.
A detail that caught our attention: the company’s SAC is not outsourced. It operates within the office itself, in collaboration with engineering, facilitating not only customer support, but also the flow of improvement suggestions directly from consumers to the product. In a market where domestic support is Zeenix’s main selling point over imported handhelds, seeing this work up close weighs in the brand’s favor.
By the way, what is Zeenix?
Zeenix is a line of Windows 11-powered laptops designed to run everything from indie games and emulations to AAA titles, depending on configuration. Tectoy sells the product as “the first national” in the segment, with Anatel certification and local technical assistance: the main advantage against imported competitors, which leave the Brazilian consumer in the lurch when it comes to technical assistance.
The range is divided into two models: Zeenix Lite and Zeenix Pro, aimed at very different audiences.
Zeenix Lite vs Zeenix Pro: the differences that matter

In practice, the Lite targets the casual gamer, fan of retro and lighter indies. The Pro enters a serious conversation with Steam Deck and ROG Ally, with hardware to support more demanding games.
Price: who can define everything
The Zeenix Pro hit the market for R$4,999 — a strategic positioning compared to the ROG Ally X (around R$8,800) and the Legion Go (over R$7,000). This makes sense for anyone who wants to enter the world of portable gaming PCs without paying import fees and the dollar exchange rate.
Testing games on Zeenix Pro
In my Steam library I have the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics, and testing on the older games ran smoothly with no compatibility or performance issues.
I played The Lord of the Rings: War in the Northwhich won the Legacy Edition in 2026, and the fluidity was maintained even in the most intense battles, without freezing or choking. It’s worth noting that the Legacy Edition officially requires, in the recommended requirements, an RTX 2060 or an RX 6600 — well above the Zeenix Pro’s integrated GPU on paper. However, in practice the experiment worked well.
In Sledssnowmobile simulator, I also had no performance issues. A curiosity: I noticed that the shadows of the trees were projected little by little, as the character approached. The scenery wasn’t completely busy right away, it got better with movement.
Already Injustice: Gods Among Us, Ultimate Edition There was a problem: the game wouldn’t open (on my normal PC). To adjust something in the configuration folders, I needed the keyboard and the small screen makes this type of more precise adjustment difficult. You can of course connect it to a TV or monitor, but depending on where you are, it ends up losing the fun of portability.

What really didn’t go well was Marvel Rivals. The game choked on the action throughout, hindering the fluidity essential in a shooter. It didn’t crash, but it took a while to load and continued to choke throughout the game.
Advantages and disadvantages of Zeenix Pro
Disadvantages
Ventilation system: excellent cooling, but the fan noise is loud and annoying. To play without headphones, you have to turn up the volume a lot.
Temperature: Even with good ventilation, the screen heated up considerably, especially on warmer days.
Battery: Performance is good compared to other laptops, but in heavier gaming, being plugged in or on a power bank is essential. For gaming on the couch at home, it worked without issue — just the cable is a bit short for that distance.
Benefits
Treatment: The Zeenix Pro reaches the same level as many other laptops on the market. The 16 GB of RAM makes the difference compared to the Lite version.

Screen: very good quality, it almost looks like OLED in its sharpness, even without it being so. For those who no longer have such clear vision, this helps a lot.
Charger: 100 W of power delivered, with very fast charging. Does Zeenix need all this? Not necessarily, but it helps ensure more efficient charging cycles.
Complete kit: Unlike other handhelds, it comes with a good quality case, charger, and keyboard. This is the basic kit for recovering, loading, installing your games and playing.
Audio: good speaker quality, with loud volume – although with the fan noise it really has to be.
Is Zeenix Pro worth it?
It’s personal, but in my opinion, yes. If you want to avoid import taxes, having a laptop to take to different situations and at a good price for what you deliver is not a bad choice.
Just an important reminder: it’s a PC, not a console. So a blue screen or any situation occurring on a common computer can occur. Therefore, having the keyboard with you is also important for this type of unforeseen event. For those who don’t like to bother too much, just install Steam, which comes straight into it, and be happy.
